Hi, guys

H just got a call and left for work, so instead of eating away my own brain (what is left of it, in any case) with what ifs and maybes I decided to come and post my positives. Of course I could have stayed watching '28 days later' but I am not that sadistic. What a disgusting movie!

Well, the fact that my thread was about to go into the second page of busy-Piecing may have had something to do (rueful )

Positives for Nov 5, 2003

1. Early morning wake up
2. ILY before going to work
3. His answering service has our home number as HIS home number (it was OW's in March )
4. He told me how long it would take him to go, do what he had to do and come back.
5. We went to a friends house for coffee (one of the three couples that know): he wore his ring and grabbed my hand all the time...Well, technically that was yesterday, but I had to put it in. Too good to waste.

He still has not picked up my ring, but I may go myself tomorrow if I have time.

Is there a rule against more than 3 positives, Sage? I can always save them for a rainy day...

Morning Opt - was reading your positives and that started me thinking about mine and that boosted my PMA again. So I posted my positives on my thread and maybe that will boost someone else's PMA and so on and so on.

Just thought you might like to know what you started.

opt,

I'd go get the ring!

Sounds like you found a way to release those bad feelings! By coming here and posting positives! I'm proud of you!

And remember, there are some of us that would give up anything to have our h back home. So I would list that as a positive; your H is home with you working on saving your M!

Hi Opt. Don't be shy now - go get that ring and wear it proudly. Sounds like things are great as ever.

Posting your three positives is really good too and reminds me that I should get into that habit. So I am going to do the same on my thread. Keep after me about doing it though okay?

I agree with Deb - front and center on your positive list is that your H is home with you where he belongs. I can only hope for that soon!

Have a great day!

Well, mixed day so far.

I messed up this morning. He got a letter with no return address and an envelope quite similar to the anonymus letters OW used to send me. I was good and did not open it but I did think she had written him a goodbye letter (it said thank you). I gave it to him but when he was going to put it in his pocket I asked him: 'are you not going to open it?' He did. It was from the guy in Ultimate Electronics we had bought the TV from. But he knew what I had thought and clearly did not like it. I would not if I were him either.

And I had had a very stressful morning so far, which was quite clear.

Anyway, I called him a couple of hours later to tell him not to worry, I was feeling better. Lopsided apology, I know.

And I went to pick up my ring. I put it on and the ring was so loose it slipped right out of my finger! I had to leave it at the jeweller's again.

He is now at the skating ring with our D. He sounded unhappy on the phone and said he was not done with work and would go back after he dropped our D home.

I finished work early, so I came home and have fixed him a hot lentil stew to eat before he heads out again (it is 50F or 10C, Shiny). Crazy Texas weather (we were at 86F yesterday).

Don't beat yourself up about the letter..it is a natural reaction...who wouldn't wonder. Just keep doing the good things that you know work.....keep yourself happy.

Opt, don't sweat the small stuff, girl! He may have sounded unhappy cause he was at a skating rink full of kids and had business/work on the brain. Just let the whole letter thing drop...and focus on making yourself happy! Keep that PMA going and be good to that man of yours....cause you know that will make you feel good in the long run. Sorry the ring didn't fit, but Patience..think how nice it will feel to show up at his office for a lunch rendez-vous and both be wearing your rings...tehehee bad Alaskangal is thinking you should be sure to wave your hand around lots and comment how much you love the ring when you are at his office. Let EVERYONE know you are recommitted and so is he!

Well, he got home to a nice hot stew by the fire... and forgot about work. I made him some coffee but he was so tired that he went to bed. I guess it will be only me watching 'Lord of the Rings' by the fire...
