Goldey - I just caught up - can't believe what you have been through in the last 2 weeks!!
So glad to hear that you are in the apt. Is it a month-to-month lease? I am hoping that you get to be back in the house soon.
What sadness (other than the obvious) is S16 having? Has he found a safe place to land, as well? Can he join you in the apt at some point? Is D13 in counseling, too? Where has S19 ended up?
Will you have to have surgery on your leg? Grab a box or something to keep it elevated while you are at work tomorrow (I'm hoping its a desk job!)
I do hope you know how strong you are, and how well you are doing. You did an incredibly hard thing, especially given the sitch with your little bears. But you are making things happen, now - it will be getting better with each passing day.
If you are still looking for free stuff, don't forget freecycle.
And when you go to get your things on Saturday, you can call the sheriff's office - they will often come out to "supervise." They may require a fee (I had to pay to have my ex served with the papers), but it is good assurance.
