It does take time to heal and rebuild. You are wise to wait otherwise you could be in a terrible rebound relationship.

Of course I'm out here! Though not always really prompt!

That sounds like great fun.... but it's a long walk! I guess I need to plan a vacation on of these days.

I don't know if there's going to be a lot of golfing this weekend... it's supposed to be cold (a relative term) and wet (again, a relative term). Some of the wet may even be white, though that's a longshot.

LMAO. That video was too funny guys, but I'm more like Wonder Woman. Using her tiara as a boomerang.
Hi Jeffy. I also know how to use my driver (for defense) against crazy STBX's. I'll aim low.
Sis and BIL have come and gone. A whirlwind trip.
Visited S16, too much sadness to detail here. I went to the parent support group (alone) today, and left without seeing the kidlet. I'm overwhelmed with sadness at the sitch, and it interferes with my PMA. Lotsa reading, and his Dad is now initiating contact. I think I truly hate him now.
Thanks for talking me off the ledge, girlfriend. I'll visit the MD this week. Taking care of yourself is harder than it looks. Especially when you've ignored that part of yourself for so long.
Tonight, rest...and a bubble bath perhaps.
Ah, it's good to be home. Peace.

And apparently, I missed a good game.
Anyone spare a TV? For a really great home?
I'm letting the jerk keep his, since it's all he'll have left when I'm done with him. Grrr....

I talked to STBX yesterday. Let's just say it didn't go well, but we've agreed that I will go to the house Saturday and collect some furniture and personal items that are on the 'List'. He's working a second job to make ends meet.
I'm still on disability, but can return to modified duty as soon as tomorrow, or more likely, early next week.
Custody of S16 and D13 will be decided by the Judge. So sad.
Our brief phone convo ended with me saying, "See you in court, babe" and hanging up on him.
He will fight me to the end for custody.
Meanwhile, I am settling into my new place. Not much to settle, a couple of plates, cups, and a bed. Couple of file drawers, and my laptop.
It's kinda like camping. With nicer chairs.

Make sure you take someone with you.

He may fight you for custody, but chances are he won't win. Not with his history. And I would also fight for the marital residence, that way the kids don't have to move.

Have you ever filed any reports for the abuse?

Im still standin better than I ever did looking like a true survivor feeling like a little kid Im still standin after all this time and Im picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind..

I hope it does not have to go to court. That can get so expensive. Get the filing done and him served and see where it goes from there. Once he gets lawyered up, his L may suggest that he try and settle peacefully through negotiations.

Just so you know, the red fabric chair belonged to my XW before I met her. It may be cursed.

That would explain why I'm sitting in the black leather one.
