We had a couple email exchanges about finances, and he called last night to talk to the kids. They were all in bed. Conversation went like this...

H - Are the kids around?
Me - They're in bed.
H- Already?
Me- Yep. I needed a break. I'll tell them you called.
H - Ok

I have totally lost the desire to talk to him.

Ya, it sounds like you have. But it also sounds like you are really finding enjoyment within yourself and that is very healthy. Plus I am sure having 4 kids is quite the full day for you most days.
