D14 going on 25 has decided she wants highlights in her hair.

Midnight blue highlights.


Im still standin better than I ever did looking like a true survivor feeling like a little kid Im still standin after all this time and Im picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind..

Midnight blue highlights...sounds like fun! I never got to do that stuff when I was a kid! Got my first ever highlights the summer of my senior year in high school...now 8 year olds get to go get pedicures and middle schoolers have fake nails.

Times have changed!! Wow I sound old...

I was seventeen when I got my first highlights....and they were blond. Thirty years ago "white" girls did not get funky colors in their hair, only the black girls...and I was so jealous. I always loved the things the girls in my hairdressing class could do to their hair, the little braids, the different colors. Of course, I would have looked really goofy with the little braids. Now, all kids can do all kinds of colors. But I think I would have liked her to do pink rather than blue hahahaha
