It is complicated. I am on a short list for a job that would make me move in 30 days and W in 3 or 4 months. It is a prestigous job that will also involve a lot hours. It is a great career move and the job for W in a few months also very good. I fear losing my M if I get the job and I have a chance now to burn bridges (career wise) to pull my name from consideration.

And as emotionally/mentally drained as I am after the last 3 days, I have to admit, I'd kill for a hug from my wife. Someone please tell me if that would be the worst thing in the world to do. If I asked or initiated, she would oblige. She won't initiate on her own...hasn't in weeks

ALL - in the end I bought a delay till Monday for a final decision on getting my name pulled from consideration for the job. The potential bad, more talking with W. The good, time to think and digest and try to make the best decision possible

I don't know. I've already deleted one post I was going to send you. The military! That isn't like putting in a job application and then changing your mind and saying you don't want it. (Maybe things are different these days.... )
Well, it will certainly test the MR and if she does follow you, then that should be a pretty good sign she's trying! I just hope you didn't make a bad decision out of your ragged emotions.
It is not about what you feel should work in your M. It is about doing the work that gets the right results. Do what works!
