Sidenote - Just received an email from H who was kind enough to let me know he is keeping me on his health & dental insurance - Don't know what to make of that so I just said thank you.
I believe it would be illegal for him to drop you. When I took H off of my health insurance, he had to fill out something that stated he had other insurance and that he agreed with the action. (His job offered him insurance.)
My guess is that he tried to drop you and HR said you had to sign something.
How long until you cut him loose and he earns the long-delayed consequences of his actions?
Your H makes me want to kick him in his naughty bits...a couple hundred times.
