hmmmm. you know, if he goes and buys what you need (and you don't have to) and if you feel he is equip to actually do a good job, then why not let him do it. BUT, if you feel uncomfortable and don't want him in your house, then just tell him you feel that you can handle it yourself but thank you for the offer.

In my hopes to change people, my first thought is seeing again how he has no self worth and that this could be an opportunity to help him. BECAUSE he is D's dad. but, I don't want you to fall for him again when he hasn't changed, and I don't want you to feel obligated to him either..which you shouldn't anyways.
