The only thing your counselor said that I would rethink is the part about arranging a 3rd party for pick-up/drop-off of the kids. I think it's very important for the kids to see you two working together on this. You can go over to wherever he is, knock on the door, say hello and leave with the kids. You don't have to come in, you don't have to have coffee or anything. Just get the kids and leave. When he comes to your house, have them ready and plan on running an errand. Walk out the door with the kids, get in your car and get him outta there!
