Well, neither I, nor my anonymous dating advisor have been particularly impressed by the email communication of the latest Match woman over the past week. She was busy, and working, but there seemed to be opportunities that were not taken. I'm not sure I'm feeling "it". So, I am being a bit cautious. Don't worry, though. I'm actually really ok with this. I don't need to accept crumbs, I did that for long enough. And I know patience by this time. So, I can wait until someone can do more than crumbs!

Played golf the past two days. It is a stupid game. Yesterday I had the best nine holes I've had in a long time, the back nine wasn't as good, but there were some good shots. Today, I golfed as though I had never played before. I thought I as doing the same things as yesterday, but clearly not! But I had a lot of fun today. S15 wanted to come with me, so I took along some of the clubs I made him last year. Which are now way too short... I guess I have to do it again! The plan was to let him hit a ball now and then. But there was no one else on the course, so he ended up more or less playing the back nine. Considering how little he has swung a club, he really shows promise. There's no way I can teach him, though, so I might have to do some thinking to get him some "professional help". I just had the idea that maybe we could take some kind of training trip this summer, if he wants to do that. Hmmm......

We do need to have a nice party one of these days! Come on over!

That sounds like a fun father/son trip if he's interested!

It's good to see you! I hope you are doing well.

Well, it has been a rotten week so far, but it's got nothing to do with W. On the way to work Monday I realized that I felt awful. The first guy I saw that knew me said, "You look awful!" So, I went in, and passed along what we had learned Thursday evening to a few people that could make use of it, and then headed for home, and bed. Didn't sleep, but didn't move much. About 8:30 I decided to sleep... and I couldn't. I had chills, hot and cold, and figured I must have a fever, but no! And my mind was just racing around... trying to design a gunpowder burning engine! (I had watched Mythbusters.)

So, no work yesterday, did get more sleep during the day, and got some better sleep last night, but still out of it this morning. I hope I can go tomorrow, maybe I will see if I can come up with a drug cocktail that can do the trick. The worst part is the headache that doesn't go away. And just enough congestion to not be able to breathe consistently. I'm pretty sure it isn't the flu, but it is a weird cold. Yuck!

S12 has stayed here the last two nights, and will again tonight, due to XW's schedule. He told me something interesting last night. When he and his brother have been here, they've been sleeping on the floor of their room, rather than on their beds in the alcoves of their room. It's hard to describe, but the alcoves are kind of like elevated caves on either side of the room. I haven't been worried about it, If they are content, I'm ok. He told me that Sunday night when he went to bed he was sad, and he had made up the bed in his alcove, and slept in it, and felt better. I think it might be that he is adjusting to the idea that he has two homes. He said being in the alcove made it feel like he wasn't camping when he was here.

In other news, S21 got a second job, delivering sandwiches on the university campus in the middle of the night. Not at all sure I am thrilled with that, but he is reaching for independence, and he sees that as a way to help him get there.

I need to drink some more water, and try to get well!

HUGS!

Ugh! Sorry to hear you haven't been doing well! Hope you feel better soon!

Water is good stuff. So is tea (the English definitely have it right that tea cures almost anything smile).

I love Celestial Seasonings Echinacea Complete Care when I'm feeling a little (or a lot) under the weather. smile

It's interesting about the boys sleeping on the floor. Especially since that house is where they've lived longer than XW's new place.

Well, since I am not going out, generic black tea had to do! Still good! Just finished a Mason jar of it!

I don't know why they've been sleeping on the floor. Partly it might be that when they have friends over, they don't want to sleep on the beds when the friends are on the floor.
