Update,
after last post call sis in law and tell her that I am 99% sure that w and x from work are at least in ea. My friend calls 2 minutes later and asks who w is with at target. I ask for description and ta dah just as I expect. Fill in sis in law of confirmation. She immediately calls mil who calls W and really digs into her. She comes home, confesses to EA. She thinks we have 0 chance of getting back so doesn't see problem
