It is so laughable that it could be true ... but IMO, it's BS. This bit proves it to me:

That's guilt packing those cases - 'believe me or I leave' - no sensible person does that.

Easy way to prove it ... follow the path. Speak to the guy who apparently texted them, if he confirms it's true then speak to the girlfriend he texted and so on.

Another way to prove it - see H's phone bill. If it's on his plan that he texted those numbers then it was from HIS SIM and not his friends.

If I were in that 'story' I would have said 'H can I borrow your phone, mines went dead - can I call my GF and let her know my battery has died and I'll see her later'. Or I'd have called from the pub (they have payphones usually). Why text her? Makes no sense.

What does your gut say?
