I like Jeff's idea of just not replying... And, why can't they just take his child support out of his check? (Unless he's self-employed, or a W-9) Should be easy... AND, it will all be documented through the court system.
There will NEVER be a "good" time to separate and divorce. You WILL hear this forever. You might as well buckle down, and just do it.
