well, i suppose i could look at that question several ways. they are somewhat better in that my life is not being de-stabilized by her impetuous and haphazard living pretty much. seemingly, she has what she was wanting .. autonomy to 'crash & burn' with her own decisions and not having to compromise on her own warped thinking and living.
She is living a distorted truth. If even a half-truth. If that is the mirage she wants to liv with then so be it. If she wants to select a distant second, third or perhaps even fourth place version of life then so be it. While surely I am not without a host of flaws, I have a willingness and capability to provide myself and her with a first-class life. She seems to want to choose something other.
I am reducing my rather wasted efforts at helping her and increasing those to help others and myuself.
You can't help somebody who who has zero receptivity to that help.
