Right now my son only owes for the doctor's visit and medication. I paid for the meds.. and we'll see what the visit will cost. Maybe they'll give him a break because he doesn't have insurance.
It would be up to my son to ask his dad. But hopefully this is a blip, the medication will work meaning it's tonsillitis, he'll get better and all will be good with the world.
Oh yes.. he'd been burrowed in blankets asleep when I left to drop off his sister and go to the store. I brought up all the necessary supplies.. little ice cream packs, things to make tasty slushies, the meds. He came up to me with the quilt wrapped around him and hugged me and stayed there while I cooed and did those Mom pats on his back. It's odd that it's so hard for me to see my young adult son in such pain.. probably because he never gets sick.
But that hug was so sweet.. that being a Mom is just that. A Mom, in all the right ways.
