Good luck Ali, hope things work out for you, but just wanted to say you can get private maternity cover, although there are not too many private maternity hospitals (you can get a private room and other perks paid for) plus the same for oncology. Maybe some insurers don't offer these things as standard but it can be got. Private health care offers lots of different levels of care and costs vary accordingly.You just have to search around. I still think we have one of the best health care systems in the world, dispite its failings.
