I am so sorry about the root canal! Five Novocains are a bit much. I too have built up a big tolerance to Novocaine, since my my early teens due to orthodontia. It makes me insane they can't give you just one heavy dose instead of injecting you three or more times. I would warn them every time and they just wouldn't listen.
