Glad your son wasn't hurt. I remember my first car accident. SCARY. I rearended a Mercedes on the freeway in my 73 Superbeetle. Since the front end is hollow, it crunched almost to the steering column. The Mercedes had a small dent in the rear fender. What a mess. Of course, that was WAY before cell phones so I had to ride with the toothless tow truck driver, in my work uniform, it was Memorial Day, and my mom was at a friend's house. I called from the nasty phone in the tow truck office. ICK! I can remember the grease smell on the phone while I type this.

I learned to drive in a '77 Oldsmobile Cutlass Broughm. We lovingly called it the Tuna Boat. It was blue with blue velveteen interior....ah memories......
