Ok, so where would one go to meet men? Any suggestions on that one? I don't golf (no desire to either) but just about anything else is open.
I'll tell you though, unless I meet a nice man like you guys all are then there is no way I'm putting myself into that situation again! LOL! You guys need to teach classes!

When I used to have my boat, I thought that a marina or commercial fishing area was a great place for ladies to meet lots of guys. Sporting good stores likewise. A single gal at Cabela's could refer to that as the "eligible man" store. Here in Oregon, a timber town is full of burley men.
I don't have a history of "social butterflyness", so I don't have a lot of friends to ask. The thought of taking a class of some sort has crossed my mind. The logistics are not great, just because of where I live relative to everything, it's at least a 20 mile drive each way to anywhere. So there's a time element even before I think about paying for gas! The good thing is that I am not in a hurry.

I think the things you have been seeing lately are showing you that there are possibilities for the future. Keep improving yourself, and you'll get there!
Oh heavens! Bass Pro Shop! I hadn't thought of that. Of course, the closest one to me is over an hour driver either direction. Good idea though. The fishing section of a sporting goods store might be ideal. I actually like to fish so that would be good conversation.

LOL! No, I live just south of the Atlanta airport (about 20 miles) but Bass Pro Shop is up at a huge mall in Gwinnett County which is a LONG HAUL in nasty traffic. The other one is south about an hour down near Macon. Definitely more banjo music going that direction! Plenty of other sporting goods stores around here though so maybe I'll hit one up.
"spinna bait" probably wouldn't be pronounced like that around here. You are talking the south...I can't even begin to spell it phonetically the way it comes out here.

Try horses, take a few lessons at a local stable. Surveys show that the majority of horses are owned by single women 40 - 50 years old. We could always use help!
A good mingler with men could be the local votech school and take some basic car care classes, or cooking classes.
I also suggest volunteering at various charities, animal shelters, homeless shelters, etc. Networking in many channels!
Live your life while you are still living. Riding the trail less traveled.
(((((mishka))))) No, not at all sick! In fact I just ate some excellent lasagna.... leftover from what I made yesterday. Serenity was referring to a post I made on her last thread... it was getting really thick!
