PMA is definitely required for conception. I can't tell you the number of women I know personally who had trouble conceiving only to give up and then get pregnant without effort within a couple of months. The stress of actually 'trying' seems to stop something. I guess that's why so many babies are conceived on prom night in the back seat of a Chevy! Ok, that was bad....
