My meaning behind that comment was that friends seem to disappear when you go through a divorce because they don't want to find themselves in the same boat. Nothing to do with WAS.

My one "friend" who broke the news to me that my ex had filed for divorce, usually just calls now to get the dirt. She wants to know every detail but I don't give her much of anything. Funny thing was that her H had an affair and they separated and she kept comparing our situations, though she and her H were working things out when my H strayed. For example, my ex rented a house(from said friend and her H) and she said well there is no way he will come home now, because her H never did this. Whatever!!!
