The chili was yummy! I thought I made a big pot, and that there would be lots of leftovers, but it was gone by noon the next day! I don't make it really spicy, I make it for eating!

The visitors left yesterday morning, My dad was having some bloody noses for no good reason, and wants to get back to see his doc. I think it might just be the dry air, but better safe than sorry!

I watched some football yesterday, then took a nice nap! Which of course threw my sleep way off last night! Today it was really nice, I tried to golf. I hate that game.

The kids are here this evening, but they go to XW's parent's house in the morning to play with their cousin for a couple hours before he leaves for home. I might have to try to golf while they are over there.... it has to get better!

I'm not really looking forward to going to work Monday morning, but I guess they won't pay me to do nothing forever!

I haven't done any more dating, the more profiles I read, the more I realize that there are a lot fewer "potentials" than I thought at first. Some level of intelligence is pretty important. And I would like to think that people are putting their best foot forward in their profile. So, I'm being a little bit picky. I know there are possibilities out there, though I think I might find them in unexpected places.

Haha. My friend Pamela won't e-mail or reply to e-mails that contain bad grammar or typos. For much the same reason - people should be putting their best foot forward and if they can't proofread their e-mail or profile she figures they're not worth her time (course, she was also an English major in college, and law school certainly doesn't make you less OCD about writing lol).

Good Morning Jeffy. Thanks for your support and the hugs. Would you run to the corner coffee stand (aka Starbucks) and get me a big coffee? Thanks!

Coffee for Goldey!

No big doin's today... it was a nice day, but I stayed in. Messed around with the kids some, cleaned up the kitchen, and made lasagna. It wasn't my best effort (I need to replace some cookbooks!), but it was good! And there is plenty left, I'll probably be eating it all week.

S20 is off to Colorado to see his GF before school starts again, S21 took XW's brother the airport in Phoenix and then went to work. So only three of us were eating this evening.

Though I haven't followed your thread much lately, this caught my eye.

My thoughts (and my own plan):

1)Screw the profile sites. The ones I looked at seemed pathetic at best.

2)Put the word out to everyone you know that you are looking for some like-minded, adult, woman company, conversation, companionship. Personal intros are the best, the least intimidating and least awkward for both of you. The intermediary has already given the meeting their imprimatur, has told each about the other (both of whom know and trust their mutual friend, knowing he/she has their best interests at heart), which jump starts the process and makes initial contact less intimidating.

3)Put it out of your mind, go live your life and see who shows up.

But then I'll bet you already know all this.

Have patience Grasshopper. She is out there.

Tucson, AZ for 2009...

Population 525,529

2,663 humanoids per square mile

Males: 48.78%
Females: 51.22%

Married: 48.00%
Single: 52.00%

Divorced: 12.98%

Just a guess, as I am lacking additional telemetry, but there are probably at least a thousand single ladies in your age range within your area. Maybe 500 more if you can speak fluent Spanish.

Hey Jeff.. yeah, maybe letting things happen naturally is better, but you got to get out there.. i this country, evening classes are the best places to meet woman, if you're not into nightclubs and you have exhausted the possibilities at work..because part time evening courses/hobby classes are usualy 95% women attending!

happy New Year wink

There are also the fitness classes at workout places - most of those attending are ladies.
