Dinner was way fun. The restaurant that we went to is owned by this Greek guy, who cooks for everyone on this grill in the middle of the restaurant, and he is SO funny and SO loud! He told H that he has a headache by 9am everyday, just from listening to himself! The food was excellent, and we had a fun time, especially since the people watching was worthy of comment!
H then shocked us all, and took us to the mall. (S12 was getting dressed to go to dinner, and all oxfords/button-ups, and anything long sleeve was up to his elbows! He grew 6 inches in a year!) He knew I had mentioned taking S12 shopping the next day, so we did it then. So, we're in the trendy teen stores, and S12 is SO funny. You send him to try stuff on, and he comes out of the dressing room, SO stiff and uncomfortable. And, if you ask him if he likes anything, "I don't care." His only heart-felt comment was, "What's wrong w/soccer warm-ups and hoodies?" Nice! So, we ended up w/a pair of pants and four shirts. He claims he's good until next year now. God!

Walked this am with my friend at the track at the gym. We talked at a decent pace for an hour and fifteen minutes.
ROFLMAO because it sounds just like you!
Funny, I didn't take it as a slip. My passion is hiking and even when I'm doing it alone, I don't call it "a walk in the woods"; I call it "my talk in the woods!" Out loud. To me. Or to Him. Or to anyone who I need to get an anonymous piece of my mind off my chest (mixed metaphor) with.
But then, again, I'm kinda weird

My pastor was talking about marital relationships today, and during his "together" prayer at the end he talked about boundaries, in situations that need them.
I've talked w/G in the alt, and am considering a boundary.
I think I have the answer, but will be considering it, and praying about it today and tomorrow.
Prayers welcomed!!!
PS - Nothing earth shattering has happened, I just feel like it's time to start asserting some authority in regards to myself here...

No, not today. We used to go "religiously" (LOL) to a Pentecostal church for years, and rarely missed a Sunday and/or Wednesday night service. It became TOO much. The kids went to school at the same place we went to church at the same place with the same people in youth group, etc... And, hey, just for the record, I didn't really fit in with the "Winnie The Pooh" and Naturalizer shoes mom's. I work! I was a young mom, still somewhat hip!
So, we moved the kids' schools when D18 went to high school, and have been thrilled w/their education's at a Lutheran school. (Public schools here suck.) We never really found a comfortable "home" church after that. We go to holiday (Xmas and Easter) services at a non-denominational church that we LOVELOVELOVED! It is really something. It's a huge congregation, and more looseygoosey. And, hey, I fit in!
However, w/the kids' sports schedules' it's been hard to get there. The kids will fit in their youth group some, and H and I will go off and on.
Sunday morning's H and the kids go bowling w/my parents and extended family. I don't bowl. So, I'm taking this time to go to church. Hope I stick to it!!! The nice thing is that if you can't get there, they have a podcast available immediately.
Thanks for coming on by!
