Humor is an excellent way of taking control of a situation. How can something be as daunting or scary if we laugh at it? It takes the power out of it.
Back when H dropped the bomb, I gave him my own secret nickname: Phantom of the Opera. He was hovering around all gloomy faced, just miserable and dramatic. Every time he showed up that way, I inwardly referred to him as P of H, and it helped me detach from his doofus-y behavior. Another lady on here thought of her alien H as Woodtick. Anyway, laughing about it made it hurt less and let us take charge of our lives and situations.
