Thanks Ladies.

NYE was fantastic. W was the most beautiful woman in the room. It was a smallish party, probably only about 25 or so, live band, dinner, open bar, but she looked smokin hot in her little black dress and I told her that many times. We danced, laughed, talked about moving south when we retire. Came home and finished the night off in a most excellent manner whistle whistle whistle.

Of course, there's always something that pops up to throw a wrench into my mood. W got up yesterday morning and came down stairs. She is heading outside to smoke and looks in the little black purse she took to NYE for a lighter and pulls out a book of matches from some place in New Orleans. She reads the cover to me and I just look at her. She says "someone must have given these to me" as she's never been to N.O. WONDERFUL. OM is from just outside N.O. Wonder where she got them?

I think she realized after she said it just what I was thinking and she got rid of them quick, but it threw one of those nice triggers into a wonderful night and morning.

I recovered from that pretty quickly as Penn State beat frickin LSU (OM is a huge LSU fan). W was cheering for PSU right along with me, so that was good. And then our beloved Buckeyes beat Oregon when everyone picked Oregon to win the game. W fixed pork and sauerkraut for dinner which was excellent. So the day turned out pretty decent.

Going to do a little manly home repairs today so that'll turn W on. I was going to go spend the night at my brothers tonight and then go on a hike with him in the morning, but I think I'm going to pass as I don't feel like making the 2.5 hour drive this evening and then the 2.5 hour drive home tomorrow. I know I'm passing up a good GAL activity, but just not in the mood to drive, especially with the snow falling in N. Ohio. Going to see if W wants to do something to finish out the weekend on a good note instead.

Hope everyone had as good of NYE as we did.
