First Piecing Thread

Thanks for all the Christmas wishes guys. I hope everyone has had a good holiday so far, regardless of your sitch.

Work has been crazy busy and this is the first real chance I've had to get on and check in.

Christmas was EXCELLENT. W loved the gifts I got her, especially the little set I picked up at Victoria's Secret.

Then W gives me my gift. A 46" HD T.V.! HOLY CHIT! Things sure have changed in the last 6 months!

We spent Christmas Eve at MIL's, Christmas morning at MIL's, afternoon at my brother's. And it was GOOD. While at my brothers house, my two brothers, my 3 son's and 2 of my nephews played cards for a couple hours and W spent the time in another room with my mom and great niece and nephew...It's frickin amazing that just 2 years ago she wouldn't even go to my mom's house on Christmas day.

Kids got all they wanted....man do we spoil them...but WTF? What is Christmas for if it's not for your kids and family?

Tonight we're going to "our" bar/grill. They're having a New Years party, band, dinner, etc. W is excited. We went there for dinner last night and W asked the Mgr if people had said whether they were dressing up or not and she said some people have said they're going casual and W said she was thinking of dressing up. Mgr told her she should so W is going to. WooHoo! She looks so frickin hot in that little black dress. Of course, S17 isn't so excited that he has to be our designated driver, but he'll get over it. We've told him that he can have some friends over to the house so he's not out driving on amateur night which also is good as the place W and I are going is only 3 miles away, 2 of which are roads in our neighborhood.
