It has been a long few days for the both of us and my let down came yesterday however if you read my journal that I posted, you would know how that changed rather quickly.
I love the song you posted though it makes me sad...
I have taken to listening to songs Puppy has spoke about...
I stay away from all lovey dovey songs and mainly listen to more Christian music or really angy metal -
Oh yes I am a hodge podge of greatness all rolled up in one.

Serenity, Thank you, friend. I'm an eclectic hodge-podge, musically, too, and like you, lean more lately to

Here's John Lennon's original atop-the-piano recording just days before he died, if you're interested (with Yoko playing along on tambourine). Too bad he never got the chance to give us his definitive version of it.
Funny thing is I never like Lennon's music until post bomb. Now I totally get it. Even my kids like it, especially Working Class hero - think that is related to the explicit lyrics :-)
I love to sign Beautiful Boy to them all. They just get this glow on their faces that is priceless.
Serenity, Casting Crowns are excellent as well. Great song to get you through some of those really hard days. Thanks.
Hope you all are doing well today.

His first solo album entitled simply John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (though I don't even think it's printed on the cover) that has "Working Class Hero" on it was done post-Janov Primal Scream Therapy. Great Album by someone with one of the all-time best rock and roll Screaming Voices ("God", "Love", "Isolation", etc.) It's great. Lennon, if you've noticed, very often used the no-content word "well," as a filler. On that Album he wrote an entire song ("Well, Well, Well,") of it.
I was not a great fan of much of his solo work, oddly enough. But you should check out Rock 'N' Roll (covers of the best '50s U.S. rock that influenced him), "Stand By Me" being a phenomenal version of the original.
Double Fantasy released days before his death is phenomenal. I sang "Beautiful Boy" to my sons almost every night back then. One son does the same now, especially since his four-year-old's name is Sean. Milk And Honey (overflow from Double Fantasy sessions) released post-mortem, is his final and perhaps best.
Okay, I'm done Lennon rambling.

Between your and Serenity's endorsements, I will definitely have to check out Casting Crowns.
Peace.
