Thanks everyone.

With those of you I've chatted with in the alt, it's been great. I'm doing OK. I'm still at the beach and have decided to extend my stay here for a few more days until after the New Year. I don't feel like being around her right now.

The weather here is kind of unstable. It can go from sunshine to rain within an hour. It's OK, oddly enough the weather is sort of following my emotions. The purge is going and its becoming easier to "deaden" my feelings. I'll only know the final results when I return, probably on the 2nd.

In the meantime, the DJ in me has decided to "re-mix" an old song from my teens... here goes, hope you get a kick out of this one.

In 2009 Wed-nam seemed like just another foreign war,
but it wasn't.
It was different in many ways,
and so were those who did the fighting.

In World War II the average age of the combat spouse was 46...
In Wed-nam he was 39.
In inininininin Wed-nam he was 39.

The heaviest fighting of the past two weeks continued today
twenty false SMILES northwest of Spouse-gone

I wasn't really sure what was going on...

Th-Th-Th-Th- Thirty-nine. 39. Th-Thirty-nine.
39,39,39,39

In Wed-nam the left-behind-spouse typically served a twelve month tour of duty but
was exposed to hostile fire almost everyday

Th-Th-Th-Th- Thirty-nine. 39. Th-Thirty-nine.

In Spouse-gone:
a U.S. conjugal spokesmen said today more than seven hundred twenty troops
were killed last week in that sensitive rural area
throughout all of South Wed-nam.

The enemy lost a total of two thousand six hundred eighty-nine spouses.

All those who remember the war
They won't forget what they've seen..
Destruction of spouses in their prime
whose average was thirty-nine

D-d-d-d-d-d-de-Destruction
D-d-d-d-d-d-de-Destruction

According to a Veteran's Administration study
Half of the Wed-nam combat veterans suffered
from what psychiatrists call Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Many vets complain of alienation, rage, or guilt
Some succumb to suicidal thoughts

Eight to Ten years after coming home
almost eight-hundred-thousand men are
still fighting the Wed-nam War

None of them received a hero's welcome.

Spouse-gone, Spouse-gone, Ssssssspouse-gone,
Spouse-gone, Ssssssspouse-gone,

Th-Th-Th-Th- Thirty-nine. 39. Th-Thirty-nine.

Wed-nam, Ssspouse-gone,
Wed-nam, Ssspouse-gone,
Wed-nam, Ssspouse-gone,
Wed-nam, Ssspouse-gone,

Brokenheart, Ssspouse-gone,

Brokenheart, Ssspouse-gone,

I wasn't really sure what was going on
I wasn't really sure what was going on

For music to relate to the Wed-Nam war, the pre-remix original soundtrack is here. wink

Enjoy.
