So lots of snow to go around...if anyone wants some. Did a little unwrapping last night and some more this afternoon. Kids got what they wanted and more. I got my Nintendo DSI and my Daugherty CD that I wanted plus a few books. I think we will be watching new movies for a while. smile

We had Italian for Christmas dinner and now I am stuffed. It is still snowing and it took my parents quite a while to get here so they are headed out early. I don't think we will be going anywhere. They haven't plowed hardly anywhere. But it also has started snowing again. White Christmas...now it can go away!

Snow. It's always so gosh-darn pretty, but the reality of it is just so not practical.

We go back and forth between Italian, Mexican and Chinese. My Dad doesn't like Turkey or chicken so we have a fairly normal Thanksgiving adding ham and macaroni and cheese. Christmas is the shake it up holiday with hostess(my) choice.

I was rereading my Readers Digest this morning from...June 2006, the time of the bomb. It even had an article about divorce and the effects on children. Didn't leave me sad just noting the date. I survived another season, none the worse for wear.

The ex is up to shaking up the globe again. Last month we had set up the holiday schedule. Now he is trying to play around with it again. It seems if S17 is working that I should allow him to change days of the week every time, even if I already have made plans based on our schedule.

I have been told I am too nice before and perhaps I am. I see it as being the bigger person and taking the high road. I did tell him that we had already set this schedule out a month ago and I didn't appreciate him trying to change it the week of.

I hope that continually standing up to him will help as he appears to be a spoiled child out to change the rules as the game proceeds. The thing is I never signed on to play.

Doesn't S17 have a car? Let him visit his dad as he wants/has time for - shouldn't be a reason to change the schedule at all.
I know what you mean, though, about trying to be "nice." I have found that it isn't likely to be returned, unfortunately.

Yes S17 has a car but I don't feel great about him going out of town with it, especially since he is still trying to learn to navigate the snow.

Ex also is trying to say that he should be having the girls Wednesday to Sunday though that isn't what was agreed upon. He says he thinks it is just silly to bring the girls in for me for one night. Thing is he said one evening like normal and then he would have them this weekend like normal. I have the e-mail at work and since I am off tomorrow, I will verify all of that on Tuesday. He is an ass plain and simple.

Total a$$ making his own rules. Gosh...what a tool!!!

Stand up to him kat, just like you are. He can't have it his way whenever he wants it and he had better just grow up and get used to it.

Hope you're staying safe in all that mess you guys have! I don't envy you at all. frown Snow is pretty but not if you have to go out in it.

We have 8-10 inches at least and then drifts on top of that. The plows of course have pushed even more snow in front of the side streets so it is hard to get out. I am happy so far with the Honda. I had more trouble just getting out of my not well shoveled driveway than the streets...so far anyway.

It is beautiful but after a day and a half I had cabin fever. I am off tomorrow but going with the kids to a movie or two. These extra days off just fly by but at least I have one more long weekend ahead. smile
