Not embarrassed by who it is, just trying to keep a little bit to myself.

I have Billy Joel on my mp3 player, have been to a Rick Springfield concert, and know every word to "Baby Got Back" (that's my personal theme song).

I've seen Billy Joel twice and shamefully admit seeing Rick Springfield at a 4th of July festival a few years ago (my W wanted to see him ).

I was not able to spend more of the TV money on myself. Had to take my car in because of a noise under the hood. Water pump and timing belt had to be replaced...$900...OUCH ! That's the problem with foreign cars...while they run forever, when they need repairs, it costs a fortune.

Haven't given up on doing something to expand my horizons...just need to focus on something less costly.

My gf swears the Rick Springfield concert was more violent than the mosh pits of punk shows she'd been to. We came home after that show all bruised from the older women trying to push through us to get closer to the stage.

Ack, sucks about the car! So we'll have to find you something low cost and fun to do. Is there a community college or university extension in the area that offers fun classes? I'm taking a month of dance classes for about $60.

Hey Pearl,

Things are great. Just nothing of any real interest to report.

Weekend was good. My D11 and I went sister's for dinner on Friday. Saturday my step D's surprised us with a visit which was nice...hadn't seen them in 7 weeks. Sunday took my D11 and a friend to a pumpkin farm. Also...0-2 last weekend .

Anything new with you?

Seahawks dismal performance on Sunday was not fun. BF went 2-1 and more importantly is now in the lead in the big money league.

I'm glad you got to spend time with step Ds over the weekend. I'm sure your D was happy to see them.

This is a bad time of year for me. Coming up on the anniversary of bomb drop #1 (Nov 2) and all the subsequent crap. Not looking forward to the holidays.

Obviously the holiday season of '08 is still fresh...but try focusing on the previous holiday seasons. I'm sure there were some special ones.

I read some of your current thread and you still seem to struggle getting "past the past". Certainly understandable, but you may be your own worst enemy at times. I have no advice since I've never been in the position of recovering from an A.

Haven't been here in a while. Just want to thank all of you who have supported me and counseled me. I'm divorced as of yesterday 12/22. Actually quite relieved and pleased with how amicable it was.
