Surprisingly, after some discussion, ex said fine. She won't be there it will just be us. I expect that to be a lie but hope it isn't. My kids have gone through so much and it would be nice if they felt as if they had a Dad.

I felt really humbled and honored when S14 asked me to help pick out his present for his girlfriend. She has helped him to get to a better place and while I know she is still a kid herself, I am grateful.

S17 expressed some frustration that his Dad doesn't have a clue what to get them. He has chosen to not keep in the know with the boys and thus is at a loss. I hope I've done well enough for us both.
