I'm finally heading out to finish my Christmas shopping. I talked to D10 yesterday about presents. I asked her if she'd rather I went light on the presents and then took them to Chicago to the American Girl Doll store.

It would make up for the fact that W essentially ditched them this year because she couldn't afford it. I had saved the money and perhaps this could become our thing.

I thought long and hard about this. I didn't want W to take it as a slap at her since this has been something she has done with them the past four years.

In the end, it's about the girls. W can interpret it any way she wants.
