Hard to believe this will be the 3rd Christmas w/o him. It seems both so long ago and so recent, in so many ways I am grateful to be in a much better place, but I still miss being M and feeling "stable" (although that was obviously a bit fat delusion).
I can relate to this so much. It seems like such a long time ago yet sometimes it is still so accute. I'm hopping over now to look at the pictures!
It's amazing how long the repercussions of actions can be felt.
I can't remember how much detail I posted about the house here. But it's a 3 bed 1 bath on .13 acres. 2 car garage, partially attached (it opens to the back patio as opposed to directly into the house). Built in 1954 on a raised foundation.

Ugh. Having issues with the lender because my job is "temporary". We'll ignore the fact that they keep renewing my orders and I've worked here off and on (the off parts being due to school and me being out of state for training, except when they got my paperwork screwed up earlier this year, that was def their fault lol) since May 2007.
Gotta write justification letters now. Fun fun.
No word from XH of course. Talked to SIL about exchanging gifts. Got the in laws little things as they have continued to get me things.
RB will be out of town for Christmas. My best friend is going to her aunts house. My parents SAID they'd be around, but my dad changed his mind and they're going to So Cal! I have to work the day after, so I can't really go anywhere. I was planning on going to my parents' house, so now my plans have completely blown up. *sigh* Kinda tempted to call in sick to work Saturday and go with RB, flights are pretty cheap right now. I guess I could see what the in laws are up to.

Goodness gracious! Loans are so difficult!!! Sorry you're having to do all of that.
So, your parents decided to go out of town after all. Boo! Since you are on such good terms with your in-laws it might be nice to spend a little time with them but not if it could cause awkwardness.
Of course, a quiet day with good movies and lots of ice cream is always a winner too!!!

Hey michelle, Shame that you couldnt go with RB.. if you plan to resign your retail job after Christmas and after you kit your house out, screw it.. why not phone in sick ! I would have I hope you get to spend the day doing something fun anyway, to take your mind off the past. I can relate to things feeling so long ago and so recent at teh same time, its wierd hey.
When you said no word from XH.. were you expecting to hear from him? Its a shame when two people who once loved each other cant be friends after, but sometimes it has to be like that and especially with him, seeing as he's the way he is and has never really showed you how sorry he is for the hurt he caused. xxx

My mom has been struggling with her medical stuff, so she might stay home. In which case I'll probably see her on Christmas at least. Regardless, I will make it fun. Make hot cocoa and watch some movies in my pjs or whatever.
RB and I exchanged gifts early since he will be gone. He got me a necklace and matching earrings that are beautiful!!!! I'm wearing them to work today.

As for XH, I don't know that I expect much of anything anymore. It's more like making a notation, a note to myself when I re-read my threads.
