Well - another positive on another front.

Whenever W is away over night I end up puppy sitting and when I have him I try to get him to use the litter box when necessary. He hates to stand on the special dog litter though and will not use the box. When I brought him home last night I set up the litter box and then put a layer of pine straw on top of it. (When W generally takes him outside she takes him to a pine straw covered area) It did not take him long to leave a deposit in the apartment so I picked it up and put it in the box on top of the pine straw then made him smell it and then praised him and petted him telling him that was good. Well this morning after my shower I notice another deposit inside the doggie litter box. Of course there was a lot more praise and petting for that.

Training him in the litter box not only will be a big plus for me in her eyes, but will be a good feeling for me as well. There will likely be more setbacks in this area as well but with patience I can do this too. Seems like everything in life that is worthwhile takes patience and dedication.

I totally agree, patience is the key. I strongly believe that if I had been patient and laid of the pressuer, me and ex would be back together now. Now I am starting all over, and the ice is very thin.

Good morning Bob. Thursday is here!!! I am sure she has missed you!

BTW, when you have a minute, would you please drop by my thread? I just posted a question that needs some analytical answers? And you can always trust a lawyer to see the several sides in a single question

Good morning Opt - thanks for stopping by - just posted on your thread too.

According to the ship schedule, she should be in port now but it will likely take quite awhile to get off the ship - getting luggage, customs, etc. Don't know if she will call me on the way back from Port Canaveral to Atlanta or not. I am puppy sitting and she will have to call to make arrangements to pick Buster up. I am really nervus and on edge because I am concerned about a statement she made just before she left. She said that it would be good that we have no contact while she is on the trip so each of us can think about our future. Guess I need to follow what I posted on your thread and ignore any negative thoughts

I do believe that now she has the Divorce and this trip behind her, I can really start working on piecing. I just hope she is on the same wave length. Guess I have to ack as if, as Imalright puts it, "I have a silent partner".

Got the Call - she got off the ship and is on her way home - will be about a 8 -9 hour drive. She sounded happy and rested. I have clients in office now so will post more later.

At least a silent partner is still a partner!
Good luck today with your W! Sending good luck your way and hoping she misses you like crazy!
