I am not a first date kisser. In fact, it has to feel natural, come as a surprise and not be planned. I forced myself to do the first kiss with the last girl friend because she had expressed disappointment that I had not tried to kiss her.
My understanding is that the right time for the man to "kiss" is when the woman feels an "emotional" connection to the man. Men tend to want to get "physical" right away and "emotional" later on if the chemistry works. Unfortunately if you get physical too early one of 2 things will happen: (1) the woman may be led to believe that the man is now "committed" and so give him a big emotional dump. The man then runs a mile in under 2 seconds. (2) the woman may be led to believe that the man is a "jerk" and will run a mile in under 2 seconds, perhaps after slapping him.
So much for my Theoretical Physics and Chemistry lesson. So you may want to add a pinch of salt ...
