The ones we had were home made and used the clothes pin as a trigger. I even made a rifle with multiple clothes pins mounted around a broomstick (my dad had a wood shop in the basement).
I have 2 for the kids that are repeaters that use a toothed firing pin wheel.
But if you want to get serious, a 288 shot dual rotor rubber band minigun that can deliver 40 rounds per second will end most any show down between rubber band warriors...
