When I moved back to my hometown after like 15 years of college and moving from town to town, I was doing the father son bonding thing monday nights drinking beer and watching WCW with my dad. One week they were in town for a monday night show and Ric Flair was doing a signing someplace. Heard that on the radio on the way into work in the morning. I taught I would suprise my dad and took a long lunch to get him a signed picture.
Well I get there, dressed in my work clothes, not all that excited about it but doing it for dad, and there is a line of people wearing ric flair costumes, yelling wooooooooooooooo, and going crazy to meet Ric Flair. The people in front of me stunk like the worse B.O. I was gagging.
I am waiting in line for about a half hour. The line wasnt that long and I was doing people watching and I see Flair on his cell phone sitting there and pretty much ignoring everyone coming up to him the whole time. Some assistant is handing out pre-signed pictures of him. People were going crazy for him and he would just give them a look that said get out of here or turn around and talk on his cell. If they asked him to sign anything he flat out refused.
By the time I got to the table he was off his cell phone and I was bored, hungry and light headed from holding my breath and inhaling stink. I am standing before him in my suit and tie and he just looks at me like hurry up my time is almost up I want to leave. He says something along the lines of how you doing, and I asked for a signed picture.
Actually I said. "Can I get a signed picture for my Dad. Every monday and thrusday night he watches your show and drinks a 12 pack of Hamms and eats a bag of chips and one of those 2 foot long pepperoni sticks and one day he's going to drop dead of a heart attack watching wrestling so I taught this would make his day."
Flair made some hand signal and 3 body guards bigger than him got up and stood by his side glaring at me. I just looked at Flair and said "Dude, I'm serious." He reached around grabbed an unsigned photo, asked my dad's name and wrote, XXX, your sons alright, and signed his name nicely actually instead of all the scribbles everyone else got.
Not a DB related story but just felt like telling it.
Get This -" Your not sharing me with him anymore, i barely have even talked to him this week, I just can't promise you I won't talk to him" - in a just recieved text from her.
My reply: "I guess if he's that important to you, keep taking to him, it just tells me you want this divorce and I'm giving that to you because that's what you want - seriously I'm tired of you repeating the same thing, do what you want, I'm moving on, enjoy your life, your loss not mine ;-)"
