My boys will be getting what they asked for this year. : )

I am a damn good shopper.

I supported a local family, craigslist and bought a broken Xbox 360. I supported a local business to fix and add fans to the Xbox. I was thrifty instead of a TV, I am using a computer monitor we no longer need. I supported the national economy by purchasing a cable that allows the comptuer monitor to be used in place of a TV. I also got an Xbox Elite with 2 free games.

On Christmas Eve, our boys will be sleeping at their grandparents house.

The Elite is for me and my wife, since she plays Rock band and it eats memory like a big guy eats donuts, no regard to the end of the box.

The games will be split between our boys. It will replace the Xbox Arcade that is currently downstairs.

Later that night, we will set up the Xbox’s in their rooms which are upstairs, and gift wrap their doors. Since they will not see them right away with the other presents under the tree and stocking being more important than putting their bags away.

So the other big ticket items for them are a game each in addition to the free one they both wanted, so they will see that and think…great which one of gets to play this first on Dad’s Xbox?

The surprise should be pretty AWESOME!

As for the whole reward for poor school performance..my friend said the Xbox is actually a good punishment tool. They do not do well in school…and I can take the cable away that links the system to the TV/ monitor… : )

New traditions? I am thinking of making a Goose.
A day surrounded by friends and family? I see no need to make new traditions when this one is so damn good.
