Do you know his pay grade, or rank?

Either way, I guess that doesnt really matter. I think that you need to write up a budget, a realistic one, and send it to him, telling him exactly how much you need from him, and save a copy for yourself, and tell him that you need this, or you will send one to his commanding officer.

This isnt about pushing him around, or being a bit(*, its about getting enough to make ends meet. And if he gives you money when he gets paid, what tomorrow, right?, none of it will matter.

you can find out how much he makes, just start with the chaplain, you can tell him about your surgery, pay, marraige problems and let them help you.

you gotta let them know though, that's what they are there for.

Really? Wow, did he just join? Ok, so do you have a military ID? Do you know your way around the base? A chaplain is just a fancy way to say Army preacher.

Ok, so for an E3, I could find a base pay rate of $1649.00 That does not include the Cost of Living Allowance, or the Housing Allowance (BAH), which is calculated based on where you live, how many dependents there are, and probably if he is overseas or not, depending on how long hes been gone, he might be getting a separation pay also. My H was Coast Guard, so a lot of things are similar, but some things are different.

The military is having some major problems with the divorce rates lately, and I think that you might be surprised with the resources that are at your disposal here.
