I'm actually not in agreement with being rude. IMHO, she still needs to be polite and if he is doing GOOD things, then by all means she should respond. It's when he does STUPID things that she should ignore.

YEA for your son!!! and yes, I'm scared for you too!! lol He'll be fine though luckily for us, you have to be 16 AND have a drivers ed class before you can drive. and even then, you can't drive with kids in your car, or go anywhere except work or school. (personally I think it's too strict, but it would be good for some kids)
