I see a pattern... you are nice...too nice. I got a hunch you do not really like this guy (it may be an ego boost) or you would have stopped with the nails and met him for a drink. My suggestion to you BBJ is be honest and true to your feelings. This way you will avoid upchucking and being annoyed by persistent men.

I like him as a friend, and who knows from there. He does not give me that initial 'spark' that I would like to have when I am meeting a man. Maybe b/c I know him from back in college.

The other part is, he is seeing someone. He told me that the day we met for lunch. When I thought we were just two friends catching up...they are casually dating, according to him. But, when he met me that day she was off to Chicago. Then last week he wanted to meet for a 'quick drink' while he was out dropping off business cards at bars.

That tells me he wanted to meet me when he was doing something else so he had a cover story for her. (Maybe I do have some lingering baggage from being cheated on?) Then he canceled when he got the gig offer.

Then there was no contact for 7 days, until Thursday night when he wanted to meet up Friday. He was in Omaha to pick up a guitar from a music store and then later to stop by a bar and talk with the manager about a possible job...

I just see a pattern of him trying to fit me in when he has a little free time to waste. I would say he is not that in to me. I told him I had plans for last night and he was bugging me to meet up anyway. He basically told me on the phone yesterday that he had an hour to kill waiting for the bar manager so did I want to meet up...
