"Lord, please give our friend SoldierDad safe travel today. Please give him the strength that he is going to need to deal with the difficult situation that awaits him, and the wisdom to deal with the circumstances. Surround him with wise counselors. Please protect his heart from his wife's hurtful words, and especially their children from the situation. We thank You for the courage of SD and all the brave men and women who serve our country, and ask that you bless them and keep them save. Amen."
Hmmmmmmm. So many prayers . . . and yet the plane is delayed . . .
I'm thinking, "God's timing."
Things happen for a reason, SD. TRUST Him.

We were supposed to go camping this weekend. I started running a high fever last night, woke up to rain, still feeling blah and my son showing up from college with one of his fraternity brothers (party at Coach's house on Sat night.) Maybe there is a reason I got sick?

I am in Germany. We have 1 hour layover. I have been an absolute wreck for the last 48 hours. So much unknown. NO e-mails from my W. I am going to take cab from airport when I get in. I am desperate to see my boys, but I have this overwhelming fear that she is going to do as much damage to that effort as possible. I cannot sleep, as again, all I see is my W with OM-doing things.

I'm afraid, that when i do see her, I will lose it, and start crying. I am so disappointed in her, and her decisions. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I have missed being here, and really need your guidance, wisdom, and prayers.

Whoa up, we are not desperate about seeing your boys - you will. Watch your self-talk.
You need to manage your energy, you need sleep, see if someone has something to help. When your brain is racing slow your breathing down - slow and deep inhale on a 3 count then exhale on a 3 count. Talk to the soldier next to you find out all you can about him/her, how can you help them?
Focus on what you control - your thoughts, actions and feelings. You can handle it. She not's going to bring you down. Strength and Honor.
Cheers Coach
ps You are almost home be grateful.
