Hi Britt,
I so know I shouldn't waste any of my time worrying about what he thinks. He's in such a fog right now that he can't think clearly anyway.

I'm just happy that I'm not sitting around and not doing things bc he's not with me. Know what I mean?

And that's right - DD and I had a good time and that's what matters! He laid on our couch watching football - whether or not he felt a little guility doesn't matter.

It's all good, Gnosis...I know it's hard bc there are a number of posts. It's a challenge to keep up! I appreciate your effort to keep an eye on my sitch.

Yes...PLEASE check in when the boat starts rocking, that's when I'm REALLY going to need advice, support and probably more than one 2X4.

I'm trying to read up on some threads to help prepare myself.

Day 12, Journaling

About to fall asleep so this wordy gal is keeping it short tonight. 3 things I'm thankful for:

1. The meltdown DD had at Target - well, not exactly thrilled with the fit, BUT I'm thankful for all moments with her - even the tuff ones. If I was working full time I would miss so much.
2. Got some stuff for me today - haircut & new digital camera. Bought to order new boots and skinny jeans. Woo Hoo.
3. That DD was just thrilled to see her little footprints in the snow today. She's so sweet.

Are you kidding me?? I just had a long update typed up and lost it! Grrrrrr...there have been some issues (nothing major) today, but now I'm too grumpy to take more time to post them again. smirk lol...

Day 13, Journaling
3 things I'm thankful for:
1. The Christian radio station I listen to - it really encourages me and lifts my spirts.
2. That DD and I had a good morning - sometimes it's stressful to get out the door on the mornings that I work.
3. Although it was by no means perfect, I'm thankful that the 3 of were here in our home eating dinner at the same time.

Maybe I can share my bits of sadness tomorrow when I have the patience and energy to re-type it. : )

Courts,
I've only had time to catch up on the last few threads. You sound good. I'm so glad.

Thanks, Gardener. I'm in a much better mental and emotional state then I was just a couple of weeks ago. Feels good to let the drama go!

...Of all the crap we are all dealing with - I realize this little question is insignificant, but I'm wondering what the heck to put on our Christmas cards this year.

I have a tradition of making a photo card for Christmas. We will not have a family picture this year, but I will make cards with a pic of DD. I'm stumped about the greeting to put on the card. What do I even say? Some ppl know about our sitch, most do not.

I want to keep this tradition as a keepsake (esp. for DD), but I don't want to come across as a fake happy family.

The wording is trivial, I know...just don't know what to put. Hmmmm....

How about "Happy Holidays from the Smith Family"

You and your daughter *are* a family so no mistruth is being stated. Its an easy way to include or NOT include your H without making your private matters public.

That's what I was looking for - an easy way to include or NOT include H without making our private matters public. Thank you for the suggestion.

Thought about also putting something like - Merry Christmas from DD and her blessed parents. Bc...she is an absolute blessing!

Hi Courts. I realized that I never thanked you for a post you did. It was the first post I read on this site that helped me start moving again.

Its the first post on this thread.

I gave you kodos in my thread... smile
