I am trying to read through the divorce papers, but it is just too hard. I can't believe that our marriage got to this point.

Sorry. I know it is hard. I suggest that you read the papers to understand where spouse stands. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO AGREE WITH IT, just understand.

Also, in an earlier post, it sounds like you need more local support. During my sitch, I GAL and made new friends. I now have local support. Possible options are D support groups etc....
