P, it does absolutely no good to have an intermediary, if you're going to just go back and forth with them about every single communication from your wife. Unless it involves the kids (in which case you can respond in a timely manner), or an emergency (in which case IM should contact you immediately), you are not to be bothered. That's the whole point of an intermediary!
