Not at all! That's definitely a perk of being a school teacher, although it is seldom we get snow days here, but oh what a treat it is when we do!

School is out today! so at the very least I don't have to think about S17 driving in this. We didn't get nearly as much snow as they predicted but we got rain in the middle which I am sure is ugly ice. Then more snow and the wind is strong. There was one gust that actually blew my door in my room open! My bedroom is a converted attic that has a door leading out to the flat roof. Scared the heck out of me in the middle of the night.
No word from my boss yet but one can hope right?

My boss called just before 8 and said he thought it would be a really slow day again today and if I wanted to stay home that was fine(just have to use another vacation day). I asked him how the roads were and he said his street is a sheet of ice, then said I may not want to get my new car out in that.
Well he was right. I am staying home. Not alone though. My 4 kids all hopped up the minute I told them school was canceled today.
