Then change the subject or walk away. Leave him curious. Refuse to answer.
When the toy comes... leave it somewhere he'll stumble across it. DON'T be too obvious! He won't make a comment or say anything. Only when you are certain he's seen it... can you become a little more obvious and conspicuous. Like leaving the cables on the nightstand...
When he asks you about it: H: I see you have a toy... M: Uh huh. What about it? H: Well... M: What? H: Ahem... M: It's a cheap replacement for my immediate needs. For how long... we'll see... before I go for the real thing.
Well, kind of along those lines... i.e. even a DAM will know what that means.
OK, now to get something off my chest... this is a good a place as any. M, I know you're feeling playful and need to get your rocks off, but, please, DON'T get your hopes up. Right now he's concerned about your health and heart problems. He will not initiate or respond to intimacy because of them.
