Is he providing for that as well? I would suggest stipulating he provide insurance (or appropriate percentage of actual premiums) rather than a set amount. With the health care turmoil that is coming, who knows what premiums will look like in a few years. If they increase by 20-50% (or more!), what seems reasonable today may not be in the future.

Yes, the idiots in the government keep claiming that the recession is over. Ummm....where exactly? In your own pockets? It's certainly not over for the rest of the country struggling to keep the heat on!

Not sure I clarified that right...

Dan gives me XYZ dollars a month. Also his insurance premiums come right out of his paycheck, so he DOES pay those. I was just saying that the kids live with me so I pay 90% or more of their food, clothing, shelter, etc. So basically his child support $$ should be figured on me having full custody, not joint. Make sense?

I pay the preschool tuition, Nathan's FOUR prescription medicines per day, doctor bills, school lunch $$, school fees, school clothes (actually all clothes), groceries, swim lessons, day care, and on and on. Half the time he has them he is at his mom and dads and they cook dinner, or he is over at my house and eating with them here. So he hasn't had to pay much beyond the child support even if it is 'his' time with the kids...

Oh and my GAL has suddenly kicked in apparently. I was asked to meet for a drink tomorrow night by College Musician Friend (CMF), I was invited out for a girl's night Saturday to celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday, and was invited to a purse party on Sunday afternoon. Plus I got a general invite to a holiday open house on Saturday afternoon.

Sheesh! Where have these people been the past 2 years?

Actually they were probably there but I was so focused on getting Dan back that I ignored the invites. Silly, huh???

It sure sounds like you should rethink the support number. You could also perhaps put some things outside of the number. Perhaps 50-50 on the tuition. In our agreement, I am required to provide the health insurance, and other medical costs are to be split proportionally to our incomes. Use your attorney! I'm sure you are paying enough!

It is a Miche bag party. Never been to one. www.Michebag.com

Basically you buy a plain brown or black bag. Then you can buy multiple 'shells' that go over the bag. So it is like having several purses in one. You never have to take your stuff out of your purse, you just change the cover and it is like you have a new purse!

My judgement also has that I have to maintain life insurance with XW as beneficiary. The thought is that it is to be used as child support.
