Is he providing for that as well? I would suggest stipulating he provide insurance (or appropriate percentage of actual premiums) rather than a set amount. With the health care turmoil that is coming, who knows what premiums will look like in a few years. If they increase by 20-50% (or more!), what seems reasonable today may not be in the future.

Dan gives me XYZ dollars a month. Also his insurance premiums come right out of his paycheck, so he DOES pay those. I was just saying that the kids live with me so I pay 90% or more of their food, clothing, shelter, etc. So basically his child support $$ should be figured on me having full custody, not joint. Make sense?

I pay the preschool tuition, Nathan's FOUR prescription medicines per day, doctor bills, school lunch $$, school fees, school clothes (actually all clothes), groceries, swim lessons, day care, and on and on. Half the time he has them he is at his mom and dads and they cook dinner, or he is over at my house and eating with them here. So he hasn't had to pay much beyond the child support even if it is 'his' time with the kids...
