Sometimes people give away their own LL by how they "love" others. Based on how he has put himself on the line in the past in order to "give" you what you wanted, maybe it's Receiving Gifts.
Or maybe he's a Quality Time person. I was fascinated by Gnosis' suggestion that perhaps your H feels guilty for not spending enough time at home with family. I also find it interesting that he often follows you to your office to chat...is this where he can best corner you to have conversation?
He may give good gifts, but He has two boxes full of gifts we've given him in the past, and never opened or used! GOD!
QT is a thought. PRE-BOMB he worked from home, full-time. Immediately, POST-BOMB, he decided to handle dispatching/loading, etc... himself, instead of having a full-time employee do it. I think he did it for some space, since he was so conflicted. At one point, he tried to hire someone, had an awful time w/two that he did hire, fired them, and then fuel prices rose astronomically, the economy pooped out, etc... So, now he still just does it himself, as we recoup from some financial stuff. I think he really only wanted to have a month or two to drive and think, and then it spiraled out of his control w/in the company. Now, he's kind of stuck for awhile... being gone.
I'm open to conversation anytime. I'm just... chatty. He comes in my office to chat, when I'm in there working. But, we chat all the time, about everything, but US! He talks freakin' non-stop!!!
So, I get what you're saying, and will digest.

It's official. I have some whacked, heart issue that requires a cardiac ablation. (TRENT - GLAD TO HEAR ABOUT YOURS!! I could ask better questions!!)
They can, hopefully do it this month (deductible met!), but, first they have to get rid of this pneumonia, which is now being called, Reactive Airway Disease!
NEW (3rd try) antibiotics, NEW steroids, AND,,, breathing treatments!
Stupid. I don't have time for this.

TRENT - The cardiologist called it... AV nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT), and, depending on the results from the ECHO, he may want me to have it done at the Cleveland Clinic! WTF? I live an hour West of O'Hare, an hour from Madison, and an hour and a half from Milwaukee! Can't someone nearer do this? Sheesh!
So, couple this thing going on, the pneumonia, and now requiring breathing treatments, and I'm shaking from everything in me. I just want it all over, and a nice holiday season.
JEFF... I'm tryin'! Luckily my RL girlfriends and parents are excellent sources of help (aka - driving boys to athletic events).
All this, and I'm only $400k short of our quota for the year to get to HAWAII - If we make our quota, my boss is taking the sales team, and families to Hawaii for a week in March. THEN, I can relax!!!
